I am totally loving this chilly weather. Summer was never my favorite season.

We get the point

I really have nothing to blog about today. So I’m going to spend this entire short post talking about that plane crash that happened in the Hudson River yesterday.

For those of you who don’t know, an airbus leaving LaGuardia airport and headed for North Carolina had a bunch of geese fly into its engines, causing the engines to fail, and the plane crash landed on the Hudson River. The pilot is being considered a hero because he was able to land the plane safely, no one died, and he made sure the plane was empty of people before he left it.

Anyway, last night on the news, they were talking about how a lot of people saw “fire come out of the engines.” They deemed that the fire was from the “birds that were burning” and not from the engines themselves. That little factoid made me seriously lol.

But really. All they’ve been talking about on the news since it happened yesterday is this plane crash. Nobody died, and it wasn’t terrorism. SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT ALREADY!!

Well, since I work in the news, let me tell you, even I am getting sick of hearing about it! Our whole 1st segment of the show last night was about the crash. Just about our whole 1st segment of the show tonight is about the crash. I know its miraculous that no one was killed, but seriously, its getting to the point of overkill now. And even yesterday, there was PLENTY of other news going on, so its not like stations were hard up for stories. But I guess some people just bone over tales of heroism & stuff like that. *Sigh*

I agree and what has me frustrated is that everyone survived because co-pilot, crew, and passengers cooperated and remained calm. Doesn’t that make them (and rescuers) heroes, too?
