WTF, Tyra…

Eric sleeps with the TV on. Because of that, I usually wake up to some random garbage. This morning it was the Tyra show, and some chick who’s marrying Howard Stern was on there. The topic was wedding stuff, like dresses and accessories and stuff.

I wasn’t really paying too much attention, but the girl was talking about shoes she could wear with her dress, and picked up a pair of Converse to wear for the reception! This made me so mad, because I totally did that almost 6 years ago. Not to a wedding, but I wore Converse sneakers with my big poofy dress and sparkly tiara to prom.

I like to think that I’m secretly some sort of trend-setting fashionista, and that everyone copies me. For instance, I was totally wearing my scarves as belts and sashes way before it was popular.

Haha, I hate it when I come across situations like that. Usually, rare as it is, it makes me feel dirty to see someone on TV doing or wearing or otherwise “imitating” something I’d done or said or wore long before.

Then again, the whole sneakers + formal outfit thing has been done to death, so it’s not a total loss, I suppose!
