Been busy!
We moved. I got a job at the local mall in a hair salon. That job lasted about a week, and then they fired me. There was a whole lot of drama surrounding that situation, so I’m almost glad they got rid of me. The same day, I landed a job at a fitness club about 20 minutes away, as a receptionist. The pay is better (than the salon), there are benefits, and I get free membership to the club (which is normally like $90 a month). And the people I work with there are super cool.
I found a cute little metaphysical shop in the next town over that I’ve been frequenting. The owner is a super nice lady, and the regulars there are all really helpful and eager to teach. There’s one lady there who even offered to read my cards (tarot) for free.
Christina came over this weekend, and fun was had by all. We played the Sims 2 and created this hideously ugly old lady that we named Crazy Mary and she lives in a 5×5 1-room house that has a bed, shower, sink, microwave, mini-fridge, and toilet. It’s pretty funny. We’re going to make her adopt a ton of cats, so that she can be the crazy cat lady.
On Saturday we went with Eric to Grappler’s Quest so he could hand out fliers for the NY Brazilian Jujitsu tournament coming up. There, we saw a lady that LOOKED LIKE a younger, slightly less deformed, real-life version of Crazy Mary. It was fun.
