Don’t mind me!
Oh man, tonight was much fun. I went to Jade Palace with Amanda, Joe, and Eliza. Jade Palace is a fancy shmancy Chinese restaurant. Fancy as in, nothing on the menu is under $10. Well, I had some sugar packets, and got a little… funny. Eventually, Joe was like “I need to get a flashing sign to put above your head that says ‘don’t mind me’.” as he glanced nervously around the restaurant.
We talked about Erin’s “cramp-ons”, how dirty chow mei fun sounds, and hot food. Joe had these little peppers in his dish that are no longer than the end section of your thumb, and about a quarter as wide. Well let me tell you, those little buggers really pack a friggin’ punch. I licked it, and my mouth was on fire. That shit is worse than Dave’s insanity sauce. Eliza thought she had us all beat when she stuck the whole pepper in her mouth, chewed and swallowed. She had that victorious I’m-tougher-than-you-look on her face. Claimed it wasn’t hot. Then it kicked in. Poor Eliza.
